# Use Chat Actions

> Draft follow-up work and confirm actions Chat can take for you.

Chat can help you turn a conversation into work. Available actions depend on your context and permissions.

## Actions Chat Can Prepare

Depending on your access, Chat can:

* Create clients and contacts after you provide the details.
* Create, update, or remove action items.
* Draft follow-up emails and open them in an editable composer.
* Schedule or reschedule meetings for your review.
* Save, update, dismiss, or delete memory about clients, deals, meetings, or conversations.
* Create, update, delete, or publish Knowledge Base articles.
* Create or update products and competitor records, or create product suites.
* Create, update, or archive custom records.
* Open Data Transfer for an import or export workflow.
* Propose Data Model changes when you are an administrator.

Chat can search and analyze deals, pipeline, forecasts, and dashboards. Creating or editing a deal is currently done from the **Deals** page.

## Draft A Follow-Up Email

    Open the meeting, email thread, client, deal, or contact related to the follow-up.

    In the Chat bar, select **Actions**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Write follow-up email">
    Select **Write follow-up email**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the draft">
    Review the recipients, subject, and message. Edit the draft before sending.
  </Step>

## Schedule Follow-Up

Open **Actions** in the relevant Chat bar and select **Schedule follow-up**. Review the proposed meeting details before saving or sending anything.

## Ask Chat To Make A Change

You can ask Chat to create or update follow-up work, draft an email, schedule a meeting, save useful information, or update a record when those actions are available.

Chat shows what it plans to do. Review the proposed change and confirm it before the change is made.

  Chat does not silently send messages or make important changes. Review the confirmation shown in Chat first.
